A clouded saturday morning. I was going to row and my father drove to the place I needed to be. My father turned on the radio and we both listened to it. It was a debate between to politicians. One from the labour party and one of the notorious or well-known PVV, it depends on the way you see it, and they spoke.

It was about a issue of headkerchiefs whether to ban them or not. The politician of the PVV said something about banning them. 'Are yarmulke still okay to wear or is that also wrong?' the other asked. 'Ofcourse it is okay' he said. My father and I laughed. The politician said that without argumentations and the other one asked another question. 'And ofcourse when you ban headkerchiefs the nuns aren't allowed to wear them either, right?

And it was then when I was astonished. The PVV politician said 'No they can wear them because they are in a religious function' The muslims can't wear them he said and christian believers can. And I know I laughed but this is serious. Why are you making exceptions to two different religions? They are after a religion and one religion only. So I can't take them serious.
